Available mid-January 2025 through end of 24-25 school year

 

Required Certification:  English as a Second Language Program Specialist 

 

Portrait of an Educator

 

Essential Functions:

1. Provide English Language Development instruction;
2. Select and design teaching resources for English Learners;
3. Provide instructional adaptations/modifications to assist English Learners;
4. Conduct effective assessments to identify levels of language proficiency, acquisition, and content learning;
5. Monitor academic achievement of reclassified former English Learners;
6. Participate in individualized education plan (IEP) preparation for English Learners receiving special education assistance/services;
7. Provide English Language Development support to other educators in positions requiring Instructional  certification
8. Provide school staff with resources/professional activities to promote understanding and sensitivity toward all cultures; and
9. Provide appropriate information and services to the English Learner's family.

Pennsylvania Department of Education Certificate
Unofficial copy of transcripts undergraduate and graduate
Three state-mandated clearances dated within one year
Three letters of recommendation dated within one year 

 

 

Clearances required for employment:

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)

Pennsylvania State Criminal Record Check (Act 34)

Federal Criminal History Record Check (Act 114)

Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release:  Unionville-Chadds Ford School District uses an online process for submission and processing of required Act 168 forms. Candidates will receive information as necessary during the selection process.
